You can’t stay mad at a penguin, even if they’ve been naughty.
At the National Aquarium of Zealand, zookeepers are keeping tabs on which penguins have been naughty and which have been nice on their official “Naughty Penguin of the Month” bulletin board.
The aquarium, located in Napier, on the North Island, is home to many penguins who have suffered a serious injury or have disabilities such as blindness or amputations. But that doesn’t mean they can’t get up to mischief.
The board chronicles the shenanigans of both the “good” and “bad” penguins of the month.
For example, a photo on Reddit of the board noted that Timmy was quite naughty during the month of June because he “stole fish” and apparently “pushed another penguin over.” That’s two demerits for poor Timmy.
